Ann Lloyd August 2016

Terry and Sindy made sure they knew when we would be arriving, and were ready to help us in if their directions didn’t work ( the directions were fine) and they were very welcoming even though we were muddy and soaking wet. Their house is immaculate – but they did not show concern at our state and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Their bike storage was the best ever! Terry even put our biking shoes in his boiler cupboard to get them dry for morning. This would be a great venue for watching the Tour de Britain. ( 5th September in 2016). Very close to the mountains and Ullswater, with Pooley Bridge just down the road but even closer is a really good pub serving excellent evening meals.

This is not a room you stay in but an annexe – a pristine, well appointed room, vestibule and bathroom. Towels, soap, tea/coffee, tv and wifi all provided as well as a set of tourist leaflets and books. The breakfast was magnificent – we chose a full english breakfast but could also help ourselves to toast, cereal, yoghurt etc if we wished. Excellent.
There is nothing to improve! Everything was top notch.
